Program
J1 : Walk up to the Glacier Blanc hut : From the Pré de Madame Carle, we walk up to the Glacier Blanc hut. As we go, the view opens onto the Glacier Noir and its string of wild north faces. After admiring the snout of the Glacier Blanc, a last climb leads to the hut of the same name. Lunch. In the afternoon we will go for a walk on the Glacier Blanc to get familiar with the equipment and walking in crampons.↑ 668m
J2 : Walk up to the Écrins hut : The next day, depending on how we feel, we will go up to the Écrins hut either directly, to enjoy a restful and contemplative afternoon, or by adding the ascent of an easy summit to the day.↑ 633m
J3 : Ascent of the Dôme des Écrins and return to the valley : The big day! After a very early start, the ascent of the Dôme des Écrins is a slow progression in step with the sunrise. The north face of this giant offers a purely glacial route of unreal beauty in this mineral massif. If conditions are good, we will naturally reach the plump belly of the Dôme des Écrins. But the day isn't over: the long descent to the Pré de Madame Carle still requires a little concentration and energy, sustained by the setting.↑ 965m ↓ 2266m
