Normal route on Les Bans

At the end of the Vénéon valley, in the very heart of the Écrins National Park, Les Bans proudly raise their crest above the Pilatte glacier.

J1 : Walk up to the Pilatte hut :
From La Bérarde, we will walk up along the Vénéon to the Pilatte hut, under the eye of the impressive north-west face of the Ailefroides. Welcome to the Écrins!

J2 : Normal route on Les Bans :
After setting off at daybreak, we will make our way across the winding Pilatte glacier to the foot of the NE ridge, which is the normal route on Les Bans. This ridge offers clever and pleasant climbing up to the SE summit, which is the main summit. The descent follows the same route. A big day in the Oisans!
