To celebrate 10 years of the Jeunes en Montagne programme, the city of Grenoble brought together 50 people for a big group climb on Mont Aiguille!

With la ville de Grenoble.

7am: an unusual meeting in Saint-Michel-les-Portes. Today we are celebrating 10 years of Jeunes en montagne, a programme launched in 2003 to introduce young people from every neighbourhood to the mountains. The programme's partners and young people have come together today to climb Mont Aiguille by the normal route.

As our procession slowly threads its way up the normal route, imagine the dismay of those unlucky enough to arrive behind us!

We sympathise with their distress, but are finally consoled when, with our long caravan under way, we see that nobody is catching up with us, phew!

An hour separates the first of our rope teams from the last. An hour of waiting in the wind on the summit for the essential group photo. But what a group!

This Mont Aiguille with 50 people was a memorable and very friendly day: everyone enjoyed it and had a great time!

A great memory of a great Grenoble initiative!
